About the work
For years we have witnessed the tragedies linked to the migration of African peoples to the European continent. A deal for North African criminal organizations, but with, of course, the help of more or less legitimate European organizations.
Here is the Charon, with the appearance of a “western” businessman, who ferries these desperate souls across the sea, represented, with their life jackets, like a rubber dinghy.
Her gaze fixed in front of her, solid on his position as she mercilessly crushes his “souls”, rowing determined, steady, unstoppable, in a black, agitated sea.
Here is the business system, the “round of money” (many) linked to the smuggling of migrants, without respect for human dignity, their condition, without knowing why they flee their countries. What matters is only to take money from them, humiliate them and transport them as slaves to the other side of the Mediterranean.
Sometimes towards certain death.
Charon is there for that.
