About the work
A figure that emerges from the ground, in an unreal space, devoid of any recognizable reference. A question imposes on the observer: this body struggles to get out of the ground or to enter.
The effort of the muscles is to enter that ground or to resist.
As in all of Abate’s recent production, this “Let me Go” is also developed in a non-real dimension, but with a high definition that verges on hyperrealism. An ultra-real dimension, in which the subjects are studied and created with the help of 3D software.
Perfect bodies, but with an element that always disturbs the observer’s certainties, so that they become “false”.
