References and inspiration
My journey in theoretical physics also continues this time with the multiverse: an idea that postulates the contemporary existence of other universes outside our spacetime, often called parallel dimensions. The multiverse was proposed for the first time by the physicist Hugh Everett III in 1957 , subsequently reaffirmed by other scientists such as Stephen Hawking , as a possible consequence of some theories scientific, especially that of strings.
Another inspiration was the image elaborated by Eso e da EHT of the black hole M87 in polarized light, with the presence of the magnetic fields. Finally, the concept that much of the known matter comes from the great cosmic upheavals and that also our land, with everything that the form, including organic life. The sum of these notions and concepts stimulated my interpretation in this painting
Description of “Genesis”
The protagonist of the scene is the Hypercube or Tesseract, a geometric figure that represents the fourth dimension: the Spacetime.
The Tesseract was admirably represented in the final scenes of the Interstellar movie, to whom I was freely inspired
Inside the transparent geometric space, a woman (Magna Mater, the Great Mother) floats in a fetal position (the Birth/cosmic Big Bang) and behind her, as background, the image of the large black hole M87.
On the various faces of the Hypercube the Great Mother is repeated, representing other dimensions (in fact for each there are some differences).
The birth of the Great Mother, Genesis, stems precisely from a great violent cosmic event, which creates the primordial bricks of the known universe, in ours and other dimensions.
With this painting, made of acrylic and airbrush inks, I experienced a partially oxidized steel table, leaving some parts uncovered or transparent so that they create intense vibrations of reflected light.

The painting is part of a series of works that explore the relationship between art and science, being particularly interested in the concept of fourth size and its implications for our understanding of the universe.
The painting is also a meditation on the passage of time and on the cyclical nature of life.

Technique
Airbrush acrylic on canvas is the favorite technique to be Giampiero Abate , which allows him to achieve almost hyper -realistic details in subjects who, in their nature, are not. Humanoids with physically status of ancient Greece or Rome, but in metaphysical environments and usually with eyes without irides; This particular element in particular creates the interpretative confusion of the observer who cannot catalog in his mind if it is realism or imagination.
